Why we fell in love with night rides

Headlights on, stars out and the whole valley quiet. A guide’s story from the Summit Sunset Turbo.

The first time we tried the summit route at sunset, it was meant to be a one-off. Then the group refused to leave the top.

There is something about watching the light go from gold to pink to deep blue while you sit next to the bike that carried you up there. Nobody checks their phone. Somebody always says “wow” out loud, and then everyone laughs because they were thinking it too.

Ten headlights snaking down the mountain road. It looks like a string of stars that decided to go for a ride.

Riding safely in the dark

Every bike has bright integrated lights, and we ride the descent at a steady pace with a guide at the front and the back. We only run the tour on clear evenings and keep a close eye on the forecast, so if the weather turns we will move you to another date.

If you can only do one tour with us, make it this one.
