New to e-bikes? Welcome to the club. Here is what our guides wish every first-time rider knew before rolling out.
- Arrive 15 minutes early. It gives us time to fit your bike and helmet properly.
- Wear layers. You warm up fast on climbs and cool down quickly on descents.
- Closed shoes, always. Trainers are perfect. Sandals and pedals do not mix.
- Start in Eco. Get a feel for the bike before trying the higher modes.
- Brake early and gently. E-bikes are heavier than you expect, especially downhill.
- Drink before you are thirsty. We provide water, but bring your favourite bottle if you like.
- Bring a camera. This is the one everyone forgets. Or add our pro photographer when you book.
Most of all, relax. Pedal assist means you will not be the one holding the group up. Look around, enjoy it and let us handle the route.
